MASTER’S COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Master’s in Film Criticism is organized by the ECAM under the academic direction of Carlos F. Heredero and the magazine Caimán Cuadernos de Cine. It offers a comprehensive education which focuses equally on history/theory, writing and professional practice.
The overall goal of the master’s course is to offer comprehensive training, in other words, a solid historical and conceptual foundation from which to understand all aspects of cinema (business, commercial, legislative, cultural, sociological, aesthetic, narrative, etc.) and solid professional skills that will allow students to write and engage in criticism in an informed, educated, responsible and distinctive manner.
